Requirements


  • Aged between 17 and 25 during the RYLA camp (Parental consent required for applicants under 18)
  • A resident in Hong Kong or Macao, or a citizen in Mongolia
  • Possess good English language skills
  • Be active in school/workplace and the community

Important!
For applicants under 18, you must also complete the Parent Consent Form with your RYLA application.

Successful applicants will receive our notification by 3rd January 2011 and be informed to send a crossed cheque of HK$300, payable to "Rotary District 3450 Ltd.", to:

RYLA Secretariat, Rotary Information Centre,
14/F, Capital Commercial Building,
26 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

A full refund will only be made to applicants who have completed the WHOLE program.


Program Outline


1. Briefing

Date: 15th January 2011 (Saturday)
Time: 11:00-17:00
Venue: Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps - Piper's Hill Adventure Activities Base
Program: RYLA orientation and teambuilding with their team for life experience.
Language: English

2. RYLA Training Camp

Date: 10th - 13th February 2011 (Thursday to Sunday)
Time: 10:00 (10th February 2011) - 16:00 (13th February 2011)
Venue: Breakthrough Youth Village, Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong
Program: Development programs, indoor and outdoor challenges in experiential settings to foster participants' leadership competence, teamwork and communication skills, social responsibility and personal commitment.
Language: English


Selection of the Best RYLArian


Interview will be held after the camp to select the Best RYLArian to attend the Rotary International Convention 2012 on 6-9 May 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand with all necessary expenses paid by Rotary.
